G.J. ("Gil") Hernandez, CPA Founding partner of ValienteHernandez P.A., Gil Hernandez. Gil commenced his public accounting experience in 1968 with an international accounting firm in New York City. In 1971, Gil moved to Tampa, Florida, and has practiced in this state since then. Gil has been licensed as a CPA since 1970. He has been recognized by his peers as an authority in governmental and nonprofit auditing.		Jose E. Specialist Gil has extensive experience in public accounting and consulting. Since the advent of the US Single Audit Act of 1984, he has been heavily involved in servicing governmental entities within Florida.  Engagement partner in over 600 audits and agreed-upon-engagements servicing local governments and units of the State of Florida; He has also developed a “niche” practice in Performance Auditing following Government Auditing Standards.		Specialist  estate and gift planning; federal, state and local tax representation and preparation; auditing of commercial entities, not-for-profit and governmental agencies, litigation support in Family Law and business issues. He is a Specialist in State of Florida sales tax issues and has received the "Certified In Florida Sales & Use Tax" (CFST) Designation.
